Buckmore Park is one of the most famous and successful karting circuits in the UK. Two British Formula 1 World Champions learned their craft at this challenging 1200m twisty circuit. None other than Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, two of the fastest and most skillful drivers in racing. Karting is considered to be the perfect starting point for all those wishing to get into racing and surprisingly, in a quick kart, it is one of the closest things to racing in a Formula 1 car! So if you're wanting to get into this very competitive sport or just want some karting fun then you can't go wrong with Buckmore Park. This voucher entitles you to enter either a Grand Prix or a 30 minute endurance event. On arriving at the centre you will sign on and get suited up in a helmet and racing overalls. This will be followed by a safety briefing and instructions on the kart controls. For these races you'll be driving karts capable of speeds of 70mph. These aren't to be messed with. The race format varies for the Grand Prix and 30 minute enudurance events. The Grand Prix takes place on the 600m National Circuit, with practice, three heats and a final for all drivers. The 30 minute endurance takes place on the full 1200m circuit, with practice and 30 minutes of non-stop racing. The experience ends with a presentation of trophies to the fastest drivers. |
