The Ariel Atom is a high performance sports car, with a motorcycle-derived supercharged 325bhp engine. The Atom is unusual in that it is exoskeleton — the chassis is the body — and therefore lacks a roof, windows and other features normally found on road cars. With a top speed of around 150mph, the power to weight ratio is something to behold, with a 0-60mph time of a fraction under 2.5 seconds - this is one outstandingly fast lightweight car! Having beaten the lap times of a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and a Porsche Carrera GT, this vehicle is not only stunning looking, but an absolute monster out on the track!
