Wear the kids out with a choice of fantastic half day activities. Choose one of the following:- * Climbing and Abseiling Introductory sessions, from a few hours to several days, are ideal for those who want to have a go or who only do it a couple of times a year and want to be shown the best routes. A typical session at this standard will choose straight forward routes to start with, building to ones that will present a bit more of a challenge. Abseiling is often a part of the package and for some people the highlight. * Kayaking Whichever type of kayak you choose, these sessions will get you afloat quickly and safely. Usually starting in a local harbour, your guide will get you settled quickly and you'll learn a few strokes. Then you will take a short trip to find out why kayaking is the way to explore the coastline. A range of kayaks are available to suit all tastes, including special sit-on-tops for cruising the coastline. * Surfing Getting to grips with the basics of surfing and catching your first waves. Your first lesson should see you getting to your feet - if not for very long! Practice under the watchful eye of a BSA coach and you’ll be on the way to becoming a surfer. Before you first paddle out there is a short beach safety and theory lesson. While frequent feedback sessions will improve your paddling technique and wave selection, only practice will develop your balance to become a true surfer. * Coasteering On arrival for your adventure you will be given a safety briefing by and told which route you will be taken on. Time for action then - getting issued with your coasteering kit a full 'steamer' wetsuit (whatever time of year), Nookie TYF buoyancy aid and crash helmet come as standard. You'll need just a swimming costume, a pair of trainers and some shorts or tracksuit bottoms to protect the seat and knees of the wetsuit. After two hours in, on or near the water, you’ll appreciate a towel and some nice dry clothes and shoes to change into.
